I build things with code and stay curious about what they can make possible.
I'm a machine learning engineer and software engineer working across speech, ML infrastructure, and the web. Right now, that includes Semaje, Kionga, and Uzi.
I write about programming, creativity, and what I learn while building. If something here interests you, I'd be glad to hear from you.
Away from work
I also build things just to see what happens.
Small games, language experiments, and tools that are useful because they are fun to make. Calculator X now has 17 calculators for everyday decisions; pick one to try. These run in the browser:

Where it started
Some of my earliest experiments with a computer were a meal-planning menu made in Word and afternoons spent building cities in SimCity. I still like figuring out how a system works, then trying to make one of my own.
I also spent a few years trying dropshipping. It did not become a successful business, but it taught me resilience. One part I still value is learning how to set up a US LLC and seeing how much legal and payment infrastructure matters when starting a business. I kept what I learned in a dropshipping guide.
